Since Tuesday, August 17, Turkey has been considered a high-risk area.
Those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered are still exempt from the obligation to be tested and quarantined. Those who have not been vaccinated can take the free test just 5 days after returning to Germany.
The quarantine at home can be ended prematurely if proof of recovery or proof of vaccination is submitted via the entry portal of the Federal Republic of Germany at https://einreiseanmeldung.de This applies to all travelers after a previous stay in a high-incidence area or simple risk area. The quarantine can then be ended from the time of transmission.
If the proof is sent before entry, no quarantine is required. Who can test themselves from the quarantine? (for unvaccinated)
After a previous stay in a high-risk area, home quarantine can be ended prematurely if negative test evidence is submitted via the Federal Republic of Germany’s entry portal at https://einreiseanmeldung.de The quarantine can then be ended from the 5th day after entry.
Entry into Turkey: What should be considered when departing?
For travel to Turkey, one of the following documents must be presented upon check-in at the airport:
- Result of a negative PCR test (not older than 72 hours before arrival)
- Result of an antigen test (not older than 48 hours before arrival)
- Official proof of full vaccination (at least 14 days before arrival)
- Official documentation of a recovery from a COVID-19 infection (which was at least 28 days ago and is not older than 6 months)
Another PCR test (or antigen test) is required when leaving Turkey (for travelers to Germany, Austria & Switzerland). We organize the PCR test for our patients during their stay in Turkey in a nearby test center. You will receive the test result from us by e-mail on the same day. You can then present the test result at check-in upon departure. The cost of the PCR test in Antalya is only 250 TL (about 25 euros). If you can prove that you have been fully vaccinated or have recovered, you do not need a test even when leaving Turkey for Germany.
